[ARCHIVED] Ogtoberfest

The Greater Ogdensburg Chamber of Commerce will present the first annual Ogtoberfest (Oktoberfest + Ogdesnburg = Ogtoberfest) on Saturday, October 6th outside on the grounds of the Dobisky Visitor's Center and city marina. The goal is to involve as many service organizations, the city, Kids' Place and local vendors to bring a true community event featuring all the traditional things such as German foods like Bratwurst & Sauerkraut & Pretzels, a beer garden, lots of family activities and music. The Seaway Valley Jumpers will set up early at 11:00 am with their bounce houses, games and cotton candy. Kids' Place will sponsor kids arts and crafts from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. The beer garden, authentic German food booths and music by the 10th Mountain Division Band, Carl Perkins, and Surfers R-Cool will begin at 2:00 p.m. and continue through 7:00 p.m. when the fireworks begin. Admission to the beer garden, which will be enclosed, will be $2.00. All other activities are admission free. So brush up on your "Chicken Dance", don your Lederhosen, and join the Chamber for a fun filled family day at Ogtoberfest in Ogdensburg on the beautiful St. Lawrence River.
