Museum to Studio: Painting with Remington

Learn why artists love museums! This summer camp uses the galleries of the Frederic Remington Art Museum to help you develop your drawing and painting skills. At the Museum we’ll study how Remington and other artists use composition, color, line, and other elements to create a work of art. In the painting studio you’ll learn about setting up a still life, applying color theory, brush techniques, underpainting, and more. At the end of the week, we’ll have a mini exhibit of student paintings, and you’ll walk away with a finished canvas. Join us for the fist offering of Summer Arts Camp in partnership with the Frederic Remington Art Museum!
If you would like to sign up for Art Camp, please fill out the Summer Youth Registration Form. Forms can be return to City Hall, Suite 6, Monday-Thursday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, via City Hall drop off box on Caroline Street, or mailed to Recreation Department, 330 Ford Street; Ogdensburg, NY 13669.
