COVID-19 UPDATE
April 30, 2020
As of noon today, St. Lawrence County Public Health reports that there are 21 positive COVID-19 cases in Ogdensburg, 21 in Lisbon and 18 in Oswegatchie. Unfortunately, the case numbers throughout St. Lawrence County have not yet peaked, so the need to remain vigilant with social distancing, hand washing, staying home and using face masks, when social distancing is not possible, is paramount.
Testing is available through the St. Lawrence County Health Systems and through Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center. It is by appointment only. If you have symptoms or think you should be tested, you can reach Claxton Hepburn Medical Center at 315-713-6655.
Also, for anyone in Ogdensburg who uses the St. Lawrence County Transfer Station off Arnold-Wagner Road, it is still open and operating. The City discussion about not having the landfill open on Saturday mornings is in relation to the City of Ogdensburg landfill, where residents can take their brush, and not to the transfer station, which is operated by St. Lawrence County.
Be hopeful, stay safe, stay healthy and stay together yet six feet apart. “Take 5 for New York” by calling someone and chatting for five minutes.
