COVID-19 UPDATE
April 1, 2020
As we continue to fight a worldwide battle against the Coronavirus, here are two simple yet powerful actions we can take:
Let There Be Light 4/1
At 7 p.m. tonight go outside your front door with a flashlight or a candle, or use your cell phone as a light, and shine your light in support of the many doctors, nurses and medical professionals working to aid so many people during this pandemic. Or turn a light on in a front window, or turn on your porch light. Ogdensburg, let’s shine a bright light to show hope and appreciation despite these circumstances.
Census Day
Today is National Census Day. Participating in the Census matters. On the local level, population data determines some of the categories of federal and state aid for which our City is eligible. If you already have responded to the postcard mailers you have received by going online and filling out a Census form, good for you! If you still need to do that, or want more information, click here
Or if it is easier for you to talk to someone in person, although there is now a delay a Census taker will be coming around to your street later this year and will knock on your door.
Ogdensburg, let’s show we care and we want to be counted!
Be hopeful, and stay safe, stay healthy and stay together yet six feet apart.
