On behalf of the City, Barton & Loguidice, (B&L) P.C., prepared engineering design drawings and contract bid specifications for the proposed asbestos abatement activities, waste removal, and building demolition activities to be performed at the site in the upcoming months. On Thursday, August 25, the City opened bids for this work. City staff and B&L are currently reviewing the low bids and will make a recommendation to the City Council. It is anticipated the City Council will award a contract at their September 12 meeting.

The City will also be holding a Public Information meeting on the Standard Shade Roller site environmental cleanup activities on Tuesday, August 30, at 6:00 p.m., in the City Council Chambers at City Hall.
