Ogdensburg Mayor William D. Nelson is looking for interested candidates to consider appointing to fill vacancies on the Planning Board and the Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA). The Mayor is utilizing an application process used in many municipalities and is the preferred recommendation of the International City Manager’s Association (ICMA) because it takes the stigma out of political appointments and elevates the significance of being selected for each position.
There are currently positions for one regular and two alternate seats on both Boards. Staff in the City’s Planning Department will accept applications from interested candidates and the City Manager will recommend candidates for appointment by the Mayor.
Candidates interested in serving on the Planning Board or ZBA must be City residents and should fill out an application.
