Our fire prevention program is a year-round program designed to provide fire safety training and information to residents of all ages in our community. The program is under the direction of Chief Michael Farrell and Firefighters Jamie Ladouceur, Eric Brunet and Scott McCormick.
National Fire Prevention Week
Each year, during National Fire Prevention Week, our department provides fire safety education to our students and teachers / staff by taking Sparky the Fire Dog and our fire safety trailer to our schools, preschool programs, Ogdensburg Boys and Girls Club, and the Youth Services Division of the New York State Psychiatric Center.
We provide a Senior Citizen Fire Safety Program to residents of the Ogdensburg Housing Authority high-rise apartment buildings. Community groups and organizations can schedule a fire safety program at the Fire Department by calling (315) 393-2321 or stopping by the fire station at 718 Ford Street.
