On the date of September 12th 2023 Ogdensburg Police Department did conduct a traffic stop on a 2016 Nissan Maxima which resulted in the arrest of two females. Brittany L. Fuller (DOB 8/23/89) of Potsdam, was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd degree, section 220.16 subdivision 1 of the NYS Penal Law (“B” felony), Two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree, section 220.03 of the NYS Penal Law (“A” Misdemeanors) and Criminal Use of Drug Paraphernalia, section 220.50 subdivision 3 of the NYS Penal Law (“A” misdemeanor). Brittany L. Fuller was Released on her own recognizance per Judge Lemay. Also charged in the traffic stop was Amanda A. Maben (DOB 5/30/78) of Watertown, with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd degree, section 220.16 subdivision 1 of the NYS Penal Law (“B” felony), Two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree, section 220.03 of the NYS Penal Law (“A” misdemeanor), Tampering with Physical Evidence, section 215.40 subdivision 2 of the NYS Penal Law (“E” felony) and Criminal use of Drug Paraphernalia, section 220.50 subdivision 3 of the NYS Penal Law (“A” misdemeanor). Amanda A. Maben was Released on her own Recognizance per Judge Lemay. The traffic stop ultimately led to the seizure of approximately 8 grams of Fentanyl, 1 gram of Crystal Methamphetamine, 26 OxyCodone pills, 50 homemade Xanax bars and $2,578.00 in U.S. Currency.
The aforementioned traffic stop investigation led to a search warrant executed at the residence of 102 Ogden Street in the City by members of the Ogdensburg Police Department and assisted by the St. Lawrence County Drug Task Force, St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office, St. Lawrence County District Attorney’s Office, Homeland Security and the NYSP Troop B Narcotics Division. At the conclusion of the search warrant the Ogdensburg Police Department arrested and charged two City of Ogdensburg residents. The search warrant yielded approximately 53 grams of fentanyl, 20 grams of crystal methamphetamine, various controlled substance pills, three sets of metal knuckles, a taser and $1,142.00 in U.S. currency. Cody L. Garcia (DOB 2/8/1993), of Ogdensburg, and Santana M. Budd (DOB 10/16/1995) also of Ogdensburg, were each charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 2nd degree, section 220.18 subdivision 3 of the NYS Penal Law (“A2” felony), Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd degree, section 220.16 subdivision 1 & subdivision 12, of the NYS Penal Law (“B” felonies), and four counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd degree, section 265.02 subdivision 1 of the NYS Penal Law (“D” felonies). Garcia and Budd were remanded to the St. Lawrence County Correctional facility with no bail per Judge Lemay.
The investigation ultimately led to the seizure of the listed controlled substances with an approximate street value of $9,000.00 and a total of $3,720.00 in U.S. currency. This is an ongoing investigation with more charges pending.
