The Vacancy Committee met on Thursday, June 29, 2023 at 5:00 p.m. to establish the submission procedure for those individuals interested in being considered to fill the current vacancy on Ogdensburg City Council.
Interested candidates must submit a resume outlining their experience as well as a cover letter explaining why they would like to serve as a member of Ogdensburg City Council to City Clerk Cathy Jock by 4:00 p.m. on Monday, July 10, 2023.
The required documents can be submitted in-person at the City Clerk’s Office, 330 Ford Street, Room #4, Ogdensburg, NY 13669, by mail, by fax to 315-393-1136 or by email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Office hours are Monday through Thursday 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (closed for lunch 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.) Documents can also be submitted outside of regular office hours by placing a sealed enveloped marked “City Clerk Cathy Jock” in the drop box at City Hall (located just left of the handicap entrance on Caroline Street and marked “Envelope Depository”).

Public notice is hereby given that the Vacancy Committee will meet on Wednesday, July 12, 2023 at 5:00 p.m. at City Hall, 330 Ford Street, Room #8, Ogdensburg, NY to review and discuss candidate submissions. The meeting is open to the public.
The committee is required to recommend three candidates to City Council members no later than 4:00 p.m. on July 17, 2023. City Council will vote on the appointment of one candidate to fill the current vacancy at the regular City Council meeting on July 24, 2023 at 6:00 p.m.
