Amateur anglers will enjoy a competitive day of fishing on the St. Lawrence River at the 2021 New York Bass Nation Second Points Fishing Tournament on Sunday, August 15th in Ogdensburg, New York. Anglers will be departing from the water in front of the Dobisky Center in flights every 15 minutes beginning at 6:00 AM. Anglers will be fishing the U.S. waters of the St. Lawrence River and Lake Ontario. Approximately 60 boats have already registered for the tournament, which is open to amateur anglers. “We’re excited to welcome anglers to the City and showcase our newly renovated boat launches at Paterson Street and Little Park, as well as the City’s beautiful waterfront and Visitor Center” noted Ogdensburg City Mayor Mike Skelly.
Final weigh-in begins at 2:00 PM on Sunday adjacent to the Dobisky Visitor Center, 100 Riverside Ave Ogdensburg, NY. The public is invited to enjoy the launch in the morning and cheer on the anglers at the weigh-in at 2pm and prize presentation at 4pm.
Registrations are still being accepted for anglers looking to compete without boats. These anglers will be placed in boats that are already registered and currently only have one angler. It’s easier than ever to sign up for using the digital forms found at www.nybassfed.com. Event information can be found on www.Fishcap.net.
