Drop Box Now Available for Payments

Ogdensburg city 1868

Timothy J. Johnson, Comptroller of the City of Ogdensburg, reminds tax payers that Friday, May 15, 2020, is the last day that the 2020 1st Installment City and County taxes may be paid without penalty.  After May 15, 2020, a 5% penalty will be added for the first thirty (30) days or fraction thereof.  An additional 1% will be added for each additional thirty (30) days or fraction thereof.

You will receive ONE bill for City & County taxes.  You may still pay in two (2) separate installments by their due dates.  Retain the stubs on the lower part of the bill and use them when making payment.  You will not receive a second billing in July for the second installment.

In addition, Friday, June 5, 2020, is the last date that the 2020 May Water rates can be paid without penalty.  After June 5, 2020, a 10% penalty will be added.  Bills have been mailed and should be presented when making payment.  Failure to receive a bill does not entitle the customer to the net rate.

A drop box has been installed on the Caroline Street side of City Hall, just left of the handicap entrance door.  In addition, you may also mail a check or money order to 330 Ford Street, Room #5, Ogdensburg, NY 13669.  And finally, you may also pay your City of Ogdensburg taxes and utility bills at by credit card, debit card or e-check.  A link to this payment service is also available on the City website at  Please see the acceptance agreement for service charges.
