COVID-19 UPDATE
May 5, 2020
Today’s caseload update from St. Lawrence County Public Health shows there are 22 COVID-19 positive cases in Ogdensburg, 22 in Lisbon and 18 in Oswegatchie. Because these numbers remain on the high side, please continue to stay home as much as possible, wear a face covering and stay 6 feet away from others when going out for groceries, etc., frequently wash your hands with soap for at least 20 seconds, and regularly clean and disinfect commonly touched surfaces.
St. Lawrence County is participating with the other counties in the North Country to plan for a regional approach to reopening the North Country when the time is right. Here at City Hall, we are starting to plan for the reopening of our public facilities and will be coordinating this planning with St. Lawrence County so that the City’s procedures are consistent with the County’s guidelines.
In other news, the drop box referred to in yesterday’s Update is now available for use. It is on the Caroline Street side of the building, to the left of the handicap-access entrance to City Hall.
Be hopeful, stay safe, stay healthy and stay together yet six feet apart. “Take 5 for New York” by calling someone and chatting for five minutes.
