COVID-19 UPDATE
April 7, 2020
Today’s Update spotlights the excellent community spirit of the Ogdensburg Boys and Girls Club.
The Boys and Girls Club has been a community leader for a long time. Right now, the Club is finding innovative ways to reach out and help Ogdensburg. The Club is doing a great job of helping the Ogdensburg School District provide lunches for kids who need them. Club members are delivering at least 120 lunches a day to Ogdensburg homes in need. What an awesome collaboration!
The Boys and Girls Club has teamed up with the Elks Club to provide spaghetti dinners on Thursdays, and also has worked with various restaurants to provide meals. The Club is also providing dental hygiene supplies such as toothbrushes. These are great examples of Ogdensburg’s spirit.
If you want to help the Ogdensburg Boys and Girls Club in these efforts, the best way to do so is to provide gift cards for food so that the Club can buy food for kids. These can be gift cards to local restaurants, which also helps the restaurants, or gift cards for grocery stores. You can mail them to the Ogdensburg Boys and Girls Club at PO Box 555 in Ogdensburg, or drop them off at the Club on 610 Paterson Street.
The Boys and Girls Club is also running virtual contests on Facebook to help keep everyone engaged and interested. Find them at Ogdensburg Boys and Girls Club Inc. And a special “thank you” to Tom Luckie for everything he does to keep the Boys and Girls Club so vibrant.
