City Charter Review Commission Volunteers Needed

Ogdensburg’s City Council is gearing up for a required review of the City Charter, and is looking for citizen volunteers to help with this process.

The City Council will appoint a twelve-member Charter Review Commission, two people per the six Election Districts in the City, to review the City Charter and provide recommendations to Council for potential amendments.  The Charter Review Commission reviews the Charter every 10 years, the last review was completed in 2007.

The Ogdensburg Municipal Code encompasses ordinances, laws, and procedures that are enacted and enforced by the City government. This document is accessible here, Ogdensburg Municipal Code.

If you are interested in volunteering to serve on this commission, please contact any member of City Council.  You can obtain their contact information here, Council Contact Info, or call the City Clerk’s office at (315) 393-3540 or the Mayor’s office at (315) 393-1130 for this information.
