Responsibilities
Section C-49. Arts Council.
Pursuant to Section 99-I of the General Municipal Law of the State of New York and Sections 165 through 167 of the General City Law of the State of New York, the City Council is authorized to create an Arts Council. Arts Council members shall be appointed by the Mayor subject to the confirmation of the City Council. The City Council is authorized to appropriate funds for the activities of the Ogdensburg Arts Council as authorized by law. The Ogdensburg Arts Council shall be entitled to suggest, recommend and implement plans to increase the cultural enjoyment and potential tourist attraction of the arts within the City of Ogdensburg.
